A & W Race Week 2016 – What You Can Look Forward To

The annual Martensville A & W Valley Street Stock 100 kicks off Saturday , September 10 . The event was inspired by the famous ‘ Martinsville 100 ’ – a race held near Martinsville , Virgina , where top NASAR drivers compete regularly .
The festivities take place in Martensville and at the Wyant Group Raceway just off of Highway 12 . Martensville has fostered a relationship with Wyant Raceway Group ( formally Auto Clearing Motor Speedway ) in Saskatoon , allowing both communities to participate in a fun weekend of cars and sport .
The exciting day kicks off at Martensville A & W with a Driver ’ s Breakfast from 9am to 11am , where individuals can meet the drivers of the Street Stock Invitational . From 11am-3pm part of Centennial Drive North will be shut down for the annual A & W Show & Shine Car Show , located at the Martensville A & W .
The Speedway gates open at 5:00pm with a Smokie BBQ at the Wyant Group Raceway garage ( VIP Tickets with A & W logo only ). 6:00pm brings the Green Flag Drop at Wyant Group Raceway ; 8:00pm includes A & W Root BEAR Balloons for kids and the Martensville Business Victory Lap . The A & W Martensville 100 Street Stock Invitational Feature Race is estimated to begin at 8:15pm , followed by the Victory Lane Social at the Adobe Inn in Martensville .
Children 12 and under are admitted FREE at Wyant Group Raceway . It is important to note that race events and times are subject to change .
