Tumbler Gymnastics is Back
Submitted by Mark Kurmey
Tumblers Gymnastics is a
recreational gymnastics club that focuses
on the fundamentals of gymnastics.
Through games, play and a relaxed
atmosphere, we let kids develop at
their own rate by providing them with
physical literacy.
This year we will be selling
tickets to our Circus Spring Fling
scheduled for the beginning of April.
This event will be a night out for the
family including performances from
several kids in the program, dinner,
entertainment and dance at the end of the
evening.
Register now as spots are filling
up fast. If a class isn’t available, register
and when we have enough kids, we will
split the groups in order to make two.
Our classes start Sept 4th, 2016

After yet another 4-0 week of
CFL picks my record improves to 16-4
since week 5. I took a gamble going for
the Lions over the RedBlacks but B.C did
not disappoint me. Jonathon Jennings and
the Lions were able to just outscore Trevor
Harris in his return from injury. Harris was
fresh off a 4-week break because of injury
and it showed that he was well rested. The
RedBlacks QB completed 23 passes for
352 yards and a touchdown. The only stat
line that the Lions won were first downs,
rushing yards, time of possession, and
the most important, the score. B.C put
up ten points in the fourth quarter to take
the lead and the win by a score of 29-23.
On Friday, Montreal was looking to keep
the pedal down after a huge upset victory
over Ottawa last week. Allouettes QB
Kevin Glenn just didn’t have it this week,
Word search answers
throwing up four interceptions and just
one touchdown. The Bombers defense
was a big influence on the game as they
shut out the Allouettes in the second half,
sacking Glenn three times for a total loss
of 16 yards. Winnipeg spoiled the party
in Montreal with a 32-18 victory. Well
would you look at that, Saskatchewan
put some points on the board! It wasn’t
enough to overtake the Eskimoes but it is
definitely better than anything they have
put up the last few weeks. Edmonton
took the ‘W’ by a score of 33-25 over the
lowly Riders. The green and white are
basically just playing for respect now,
hopefully they can pull together a couple
more wins this season. Speaking of wins,
how about those Stampeders? Yet another
win against the high calibre offence of the
Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Calgary is now 7-1-
1 on the season and have
not lost at home this
year, (knock on wood).
Zach Collaros threw for a
whopping 439 yards and
three TD’s. However, it was
penalties that cost Hamilton
the game, 14 penalties for a
total of 125 yards compared
to just five penalties for
the Stamps. It was a close
game but the Stampeders
took it 30-24. Now in week
11 things get a little weird
as Toronto has two games!
