the martensville Fire Department is Looking for Volunteer Firefighters

Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria : 1 . Be a permanent resident of Martensville or with in close proximity to the City . 2 . Required to respond and train for both Fire and Medical calls . 3 . Commit to attending weekly training sessions . 4 . Need to commit to taking a large amount of training in the first year as needed . 5 . Must be of good moral character and have no Criminal Record . 6 . Need to be physically fit enough to conduct firefighting job related tasks . 7 . Must not have known fears of heights , confined spaces and be able to wear a SCBA mask . 8 . Essential to have a reliable vehicle with good driving record . Deadline for applications is September 6 , 2016 at 5:00 p . m

Acceptable Items include : Household Appliances ( fridge , stove , and freezer doors should be removed ), furniture , torn down fence material ( four foot lengths and tied ), Rocks , Garden Refuse , leaves and grass clippings ( all bagged ), tree branches ( four foot lengths and tied ), pieces of scrap material including material from small renovations .
