SPORTS Weather a Factor The weather was a big factor for both teams as the Kindersley Kobras came to town on Tuesday. The snow and icy conditions made it difficult to establish a running game for the Royals. The Royals struck early with a field goal by Logan Heck putting the first points on the board. Quarterback Ethan Moran connected with receiver #17 Connor Mackay, who found the end zone giving the Royals the 10-0 lead. At the very end of the first, the Kobras scored a touchdown closing the gap 10-7. With only 14 seconds left to the half the Kobras struck again with a field goal to tie things up. The Kobra size on the O-line was hard to handle and they capitalized on this putting another touchdown and field goal on the board. The Royal offense could not string things together offensively in the second half and the Kobras took the 19-10 win. "We got up early but couldn't get a drive going in the second half," commented Coach Evanisky. "We had trouble with their size and got pushed around." The Royals have a quick turn around as they travel to Unity for their final league game on Friday. Keep the Community up-to-date on your team scores, events, photos and tournaments. In that time we witnessed both positive and dramatic growth. We have found it to be a great place to live and raise our family. I am presently retired after spending 34 years working for a large international PVC pipe manufacturer with the last 14 being the Regional Manager for the Western USA. I am seeking my 2nd term on Martensville City Council. I have the time and energy to represent your interests to keep our great city moving forward. My prime concern is for the safety for your children and granchildren on our city streets and in the school and playground zones. I respectfully ask for your support on October 26. - CITY COUNCIL -  CROSS
