Take Our Kids to Work Day

On Wednesday , November 2 , 2016 , all Grade 9 students across the country will be taking part in " Take Our Kids to Work Day ". Grade 9 students will accompany their parent / guardian ( or an alternate adult chosen by their parent / guardian ) to their workplace for the duration of the work day . The intention of this national program is to encourage students to start thinking about their own career direction and the educational choices they need to make . It also allows parents / guardians and children the opportunity to share an understanding of the parents / guardians ' work world . Consent forms and further information will be provided to Grade 9 students by their Health 9 teachers . Questions about TOKW Day can be directed to the student ' s Health 9 teacher : Whitney Anderson , Breanne Cooper , Kate McKinnon , or Quelsa Oliver .
