This now makes thirteen teachers at Marafun 2016 program ran Until April 30, 2016 from March 14th to May 29th giving young people (grades 1-8) the opportunity to run a marathon in a novel way. Participants completed 40km by walking, running, or wheeling over 10 weeks. This training led them to the Saskatchewan Marathon race day, which was Sunday May 29th. All participants came together to cap off their hard work with a fun 2.2K on part of the marathon course, which started at 11:00 am. Venture Heights with their Masters and one with her PHD. Congratulations Ladies!!!! ABOVE: Brodie Yuzik and Taylor Jalbert ABOVE: Lisa Kobylka and Heather Ohryn did the 10K which started 8:30 am. and Brent Campbell and Garett Soparlo did the full marathon which started at 7:30 am MHS Students Attend National Skills Competition MHS students Sydney Hamelin and Sydney Scott were hard at it this week as they participate in the National Skills Canada Competition in Moncton, New Brunswick. Hamelin is competing in post-secondary, cooking and Scott is competing in secondary, fashion and technology. The competition took place from June 5-8. ABOVE: Jill, Amber and Heather of VHS recently celebrated their convocation. 2nd Annual Taste of VMS Thursday, June 16th Friday, June 17th 12-1:30 Valley Manor Elementary School would like to invite you to our second annual Taste of VMS. We will be selling food, drinks, other treats, and even face painting. Most things will range from $2-5 in cost so bring some cash for lunch and treats on the back tarmac (in the gym if raining)! All students had fun running, jumping and throwing. The top 3 athletes in each event (ages 9-12) will move on to compete at Valley Christian Academy on Friday.
