Police Locate Swerving Vehicle on Highway 12
On May 23rd at 6:30 pm , several complaints were received of a vehicle swerving all over the road on Highway 12 . Patrol was made and the vehicle was located and stopped . The 61 year old male driver was charged with impaired driving .
Driver Charged in Highway 16 Accident
May 24th at 3:45 pm a collision was reported on Highway 16 at the entrance to Borden . Two vehicles were involved , one crossed the highway before safe to do so . The driver was charged .
Lightning Strikes Vehicle Travelling on Highway 16
On May 27th at 2:45 pm a vehicle was hit by lightning as it was travelling on Highway 16 near Langham . The driver was fine and the only damage to the vehicle was a flat tire .

Ministers to Examine Impaired Driving Implications of Marijuana Legalization

On May 25 , Premier Brad Wall announced that he has asked Justice Minister Gordon Wyant , Corrections and Policing Minister Christine Tell and SGI Minister Don McMorris to examine the implications on driver safety of the federal government ’ s plan to legalize marijuana .
“ The federal government has said marijuana legalization is coming but I don ’ t think we have clear answers on the potential effects on driver safety and what the plan is to prevent impaired driving due to marijuana use ,” Wall said . “ There are still too many accidents and deaths due to drunk drivers and all governments are taking steps to crack down on that . Legalizing marijuana could certainly mean more impaired drivers , which no one wants . reported in Martensville . Patrols were made and the vehicle was located at another business in Martensville . The 30 year old driver was arrested .
Impaired Driver Charged in Warman
May 28th at 1:00 am police stopped a vehicle on 6th Avenue South in Warman . The 29 year old female driver was found to be impaired . The driver was charged .
Stolen Vehicle Found Near Highway 14
May 26th at 12:40 pm a vehicle was reported abandoned south of Hwy 14 , just outside of Saskatoon . The vehicle had been painted to change appearance . The vehicle was stolen out of Saskatoon .
Police Investigate After Multiple Vehicles Reported Stolen
May 26th at 5:30 pm a truck was reported stolen earlier that afternoon from a rural location north of Fielding . The truck was located in a field in the same area . Another truck and trailer were reported stolen from the same area at 11:00 pm . This trailer was recovered but the truck is still missing .
“ Right now , there isn ’ t a clear standard for what constitutes impairment and there isn ’ t a roadside test like there is for drunk driving ,” Wall said . “ These are the kinds of issues that need to be sorted out before the federal government makes marijuana use legal .
“ I ’ ve asked the three ministers to work together , with their officials and with key stakeholders to recommend how we can ensure that the federal government ’ s legalization of marijuana doesn ’ t lead to more deaths and injuries on Saskatchewan roads .”

May 29th at 9:15 am a report of a break and enter at the Borden Gas Plus was received . Investigation is ongoing .
Occupant of Stolen Saskatoon Vehicle Arrested and Held for Court
May 29th at 9:20 am a theft of a truck and trailer was reported from a business just outside of Saskatoon . Both truck and trailer were recovered later that day . The occupant of the truck was arrested and held for court .
No Suspects in Langham Robbery
May 29th at 11:30 am police received a complaint of property taken from a truck in Langham . There are no suspects at this time .

Summer Treat Idea

Fresh Fruit Pizza Tart
Makes 10 servings
• 16.5 ounce roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
• 4 ounces nonfat cream cheese , softened
• 1 / 4 cup low-fat sour cream
• 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 1 / 4 cups black California grapes
• 1 / 2 cup red California grapes
• 2 kiwifruit , pared and sliced
1 . Heat oven to 350 degrees F . Pat cookie dough into the bottom of a greased 10- inch tart pan . Bake for 10- 12 minutes or until lightly browned . Cool completely .
2 . In electric mixer , beat cream cheese and sour cream . Gradually add sugar ; beat until completely mixed and fluffy . Spread mixture over entire surface of each pan of baked cookie dough .
3 . Arrange grapes and other fruit as desired , covering entire surface with fruit ; press gently . Refrigerate until chilled .

Dalmeny Spray and Play Intergenerational Park Project Update

It ’ s been a lot of work to get to this point for the Dalmeny Spray and Play Committee and now the benches and picnic tables have officially been installed at Prairie Park ! Other additions will include garbage bins , recycling bins and dog stations , which will be coming soon .
In other news from the group , plans to hold a
community meeting on Tuesday , September 27 at 7pm at the Dalmeny Town Office are in place . The purpose of this meeting is to find members of the community who may be interested in taking over the planning and fundraising of the final two phases of the project . As the group states on their Facebook page , “ we created the ‘ play ’; you finish the ‘ spray ’. Many of the current committee members have served a four year term and are now looking to move on ; however , they want to see the project continue in the capable hands of a new group . If you are interested in being a part of this project , please plan to attend this informational meeting .
