vms students and staff aging after 100 Days of school
Last week the Grade one classes celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up like 100 year old people . Both kids and teachers had a fun time hobbling around with their canes !
Martensville High School Hosts Annual Cakewalk

The students of Martensville High School showed their creativity and artistic talent through their baking abilities as they put their cakes on display for the annual cakewalk . The cakes were then bid on by the school community in a silent auction , with all proceeds going towards TeleMiracle . Many cakes were themed for Valentine ’ s Day with reds and pinks aplenty , while others branched into unicorns , owls , ice-cream cones , succulents and many more . “ These are the best cakes we have ever had , the overall quality is consistently really good ,” said Ms . Mackenzie , teacher at MHS . “ That cactus looks like you shouldn ’ t be eating it ”, she said , referring to student Hannah Chivilo ’ s masterpiece . The total raised in the cakewalk for Telemiracle was $ 544.00 .
The cakewalk wasn ’ t the only occasion students prepared their baking for on Valentine ’ s Day . The Project Change group of MHS also held a bake sale , with all of the proceeds going towards the Dunville family . Tables were coated in sweets decorated in reds , pinks and purples , and the support of the student body on this day was truly profound . The bake sale raised a total of $ 350.00 .
ABOVE , L-R : The cakewalk and bakesale at MHS on Tuesday satisfi ed everyone ’ s sweet tooth with lots of goodies to choose from . There was some amazing cakes on display as well .
