Members attended a total of 124 calls and 65 traffic charges were laid during the week of December 12th to December 19th , 2016 in the Warman / Martensville Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police .

TRAFFIC Police Stop Possible Impaired Driver

December 13th at 6:00 pm an intoxicated driver was reported on Highway 305 by Warman . Vehicle was stopped and driver sober , just tired .
Charges Laid in Semi and Taxi Accident
December 15th at 8:55 pm a two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 16 and 71st Street involving a semi unit and a taxi cab . Charges were laid .

Martensville Theft Being Investigated
December 14th at 8:45 am a report of shoplifting was reported from the Canadian Tire in Martensville . Matter is under investigation .
Vehicle Stolen While Warming Up
December 15th at 7:00 am a Chev Cobalt was stolen from a residence in Asquith while it was running to warm up in the morning . Vehicle still not located . Reminder not to leave your vehicle running and unlocked .

POLICE BEAT

Large Amount of Items Stolen From Vehicles Near Martensville
December 15th at 9:00 am a report was received of a theft from two vehicles at the power substation near Martensville . Large quantity of tools and outerwear taken .

PEOPLE Police Invetigate Possible Mail Scam

December 16th at 3:38 pm several people started calling the Martensville Detachment office to report a letter had been received in their mail advising for $ 20 they could get a chance to win a vehicle . Matter is being investigated but most likely a scam .
Child Hit by Vehicle Outside of Martensville School
On December 16th at 4:00 pm a child was hit while crossing the street at Venture Heights School in Martensville . Matter is under investigation .
Loud Party Reported at Martensville Residence
December 18th at 1:20 am members attended to a residence on Fehr Crescent in Martensville for a report of a loud party . Homeowners were spoken to and noise stopped .
Camera Turned into Martensville Detachment A 1965 Polaroid camera was turned into the Martensville
office in September . It had been located in someone ’ s back yard together with other property . If this is your camera , please contact the Warman or Martensville office . Found items are only kept for three months and we would rather return property than dispose of it .
