Martensville Dancers Lead Disney Parade martensville messenger - deCemBer 22, 2016 - Page 5 Marcy Cross, Martensville Messenger After nearly a year in the making, numerous dancers from Martensville and surrounding areas participated in a monumental day on December 10th. The kids from Kristy's Dance Fusion spent the past year fundraising and rehearsing for ‘Dance the Magic’. The group spent countless hours learning the moves and perfecting their performance before heading to Disneyland. “It was exhausting, but worth it,” Martensville dancer Maddy Christianson, stated. The families packed their bags and made their way to Anaheim California, where all of the rehearsals and fundraising was about to pay off. Kids tall and small, some younger and some older donned their costumes and joined other dance schools from around North America to dance through Disneyland. Family members claimed every inch of space along the route. They cheered and clapped and sang along as their dancers went by. A few proud tears were shed. The Kristy's Dance Fusion troop led the parade of dancers. “This was a once in a life time magical opportunity for these kids. It was worth everything and more and we would do it all over again. We are so proud to represent Kristy's Dance Fusion,” Maddy’s mother, Georjeana Christianson, added. Congratulations to all of the dancers! You should be incredibly proud of yourselves and all of the hard work that you put into this amazing experience.
