or southern Louisiana residents, cooler weather may
signal the appearance of fall
colors, sweaters, and pumpkin spice
lattes, but for Captain Bubby Lamy of
In & Out Charters, it only means one
thing: great fishing in Lake Pontchartrain. I got the chance to fish with
Capt Bubby on the last week in September, just before the shift in
weather that October traditionally
brings. I met the crew from Pontchartrain Ace Hardware at the Rigolets
Marina before sunrise, and when I saw
Capt Bubby’s absolutely gorgeous
2016 Ranger Bay 2510, completely
decked out, I knew we would be in for
a comfortable ride. The manager at
Ace Hardware, Mike Siebenkittel,
brought along his three boys, Drew
(13), Dylan (11), and Dawson (9), and
they were wide awake and excited
