Last week I had the pleasure of meeting two truly wonderful women , Angie Stead and Angie Tracey , who , along with David Hitchins , have brought Education Angels to Marlborough .
When Angie Tracey handed me her business card , which read ‘ Angie Tracey , National Guardian ’, I nearly melted into a warm , squishy puddle . These two wonderful ladies , along with David , are revolutionising the way we access childcare for our littlest and most precious people in our lives . And given that between the three of them , they have over 75 years ' experience dealing with babies and preschoolers , they have seen it all and are coming up with amazing techniques to make sure the emotional needs and wellbeing of our children are met in the most promising ways .
Angie Stead moved to New Zealand from the UK 10 years ago and has over 25 years ' experience in early childhood care , after her humble beginnings as an In-Home Carer when her boys were young . She extended to become an Early Childhood Consultant to a number of companies , both in the UK and then in New Zealand . One of her clients called her ‘ Angel Angie ’, a name which stuck , and suits her . Angie Tracey started
