Little List Of Lessons

Hello Sweethearts ,
It ’ s easy to let our stressful lives justify our negative attitude , but it doesn ' t have to be that way .
Here are some tips on how to bring more kindness into the life of yours and others .
• Smile
Smile as much as you can muster . Not just at others , but also at yourself . Smiles are contagious . They lift the spirits of people around you .
• Say “ Good Morning .”
A simple good morning accompanied with a pleasant smile creates an instant uplifting connection .
• Give
Generosity is underrated . Give your stuff away . If you don ’ t want it anymore , let someone else enjoy it and expect nothing in return .
• Receive
Feel good about receiving . When someone offers help , take it . People feel good when they are giving , just as you would , so by receiving you are promoting the cycle of kindness .
• Care
Showing real affection and paying attention to people you come into contact with is something we often do only superficially . We become so absorbed in our own needs that we fail to really care about others .
Be well Aunt Mildred

Apart from prescribed medications , what other techniques can I use to help ease arthritic pains ?
L Seymour
Treatment for osteo and rheumatoid arthritis will be different , so make sure you are clear on the type you have . Dietary changes can help both . Start by looking for information on foods that cause inflammation in the body . For Osteoarthritis , having correct structure and movement will help stop the wear and tear of joints , and increase your mobility . For Rheumatoid arthritis gentle relaxation massage and lymph draining can help with inflammation and correct lymph flow .

How do you know when you have tried everything to maintain a relationship and when it ’ s time to let go ?
C Kerr
Perhaps assess all the things you ’ ve tried first , to get an idea of how you are approaching this relationship . Ask yourself what ’ s your idea of relationship maintenance , and why do you have to do that to keep your relationship working ? It might be a good idea to get to know yourself better and figure out why you do what you do . Talk to a professional . Counselling , Psychotherapy , and Hypnotherapy can help you to figure things out and give you the clarity and strength to not guess , but “ know ” its time to move forward with your life .

Is flour and potato really that bad for you , or can it still be a part of a normal diet ?
Martin
Good question Martin ! I think we all need to take personal responsibility for ourselves when it comes to health and diet . Social medicine and diet only advises the general public , and if you have specific health conditions or goals then think about biohacking your diet and food choices ! That simply means use some research , look for the bigger picture , make your research specific to your needs . For example : Do you have any health conditions ? If yes , research them . A little flour and potato probably wouldn ’ t hurt a healthy immune system , every now and then . A compromised immune system ( health , digestive , skin , etc problems ) might not fare well with gluten and toxins associated with gluten , or potato as it is from the nightshade family and has its own natural toxins . However , someone

with some particular liver disorder may find potato a saviour for quick carbs and easy digestion . I know ! No simple answers . But taking control of your health with food is easy and can be fun and interesting . Yes , I would say ok to flour and potato , but don ’ t get stuck in the habit of relying on it to fill the plate .
Bottom line , mix it up , make balance , variety , and moderation your food mantra . There are so many yummy alternatives to flour and potato , get a bit more adventurous !

QMy spending budget needs to be cut but I just can ’ t seem to manage it . Everything seems to cost so much . I love going to cafes and having beauty treatments done . How can I still enjoy these things but keep my spending down ?

A

Katie M
Yes Katie , its all too easy to get in this cycle of need and instant reward and eventually it becomes automatic spending . Create a new cycle . Save for a holiday , pay off a bill , etc . Make it a mission to change ! Start by cutting your indulgences down by half , so its not such a shock to the system . Then , when you go to a café , be in the moment , make it an enjoyed experience , not just a habit . Learn to live and appreciate the moment you are in , learn not to take the availability of things for granted . Take pride in yourself for the changes you make .
I have worked with people for compulsive spending , and quite often it ’ s a way of releasing tension and stress . If that ’ s you , and you really can ’ t manage the change yourself then get some help . It could save you a lot more than what you are now spending , in the long run .
