Q . What do you love most about Marlborough ? A . I could go on for days about how much I love Marlborough - vineyards nestled between mountain ranges that ramble out into the sea , outdoor sports , and the Sounds ! Yet , it ’ s the community that makes it a place I want to live . I find the people here to be genuine , warm , and giving .
Q . What are three words to describe how one would feel after leaving your business ? A . Unstuck , hopeful and empowered .
Q . What is unique about your business ? A . I specialise in anxiety , which affects one in three people . Anxiety can be quite manageable with the right tools .
Q . How would you describe ' a great day at work '?
A . A great day at work comes in many shapes . Sometimes it is seeing the ‘ aha ’ moment in someone ’ s eyes . Sometimes it is taking small steps to heal a painful wound . Sometimes it is watching someone blossom right before my eyes .
Q . What is something about you that people may not know ?
A . I grew up in New Orleans and my favourite food is anything that comes out of the sea . I have also written a children ’ s fantasy novel - soon to be published .
Q . What 3 celebrities or special people would you love to see walk into your business ?
A . Tina Fey ( comedic writer , actress ). Taika Waititi . Neil deGrasse Tyson ( astrophysicist ).
Q . Where did the inspiration or motivation for your business come from ?
A . I have been a clinical psychologist for 13 years now . I really enjoy teaching people new tools to make life a little easier . We are all just humans trying to do our best after all .
Q . What ’ s next on your wish list ? A . Perhaps I will open a clinic some day .
Write more fantasy novels and paint more !
Q . What ’ s your favourite way to spend an ' Idle Moment '?
A . Writing , painting , and yoga are the things that keep me balanced .
