Navigating the changing retail environment, CapitaLand launches a pair of digital platforms to
increase its bricks-and-clicks sales while enhancing service to always-connected shoppers
As a response to the COVID-19
pandemic, CapitaLand released a
pair of new marketing initiatives
across Singapore under its campaign
"CapitaLand + You" banner to drive
sales for retailers during phase 1
reopening and connect the digital
world with the physical one. With a
shared mission, the diversified real
estate group launched the eCapitaMall
e-commerce platform and Capita3Eats
(pronounced as “capita-treats”), the
online food ordering platform, to
leverage its online presence as well as
increase overall traffic and retail sales
in-store. Since June 1, shoppers have
been able to access the twin digital
sources via CapitaLand’s CapitaStar
app and mall websites—eCapitaMall’s
in-store collection and eCapita3Eat’s
dine-in option, however, were only
slated to be launched from 3Q 2020
and applicable once health and safety
measures had been lifted.
Described as a curated digital mall
featuring merchandise from retailers,
many of which operate in CapitaLand
malls across the country, eCapitaMall
offers shoppers the flexibility to browse
online before purchasing in-store and
vice versa. It highlights 280+ retailers
and more than 18,000 stock-keeping
units across a range of categories
such as fashion, beauty, electronics,
