MEET Shawn Harris
Shawn Harris was born in South Florida. As a child, Shawn grew up following his
passions of boating, fishing and hunting. Shawn’s father spent every moment with
Shawn teaching him what Florida had to offer both inland and offshore. Many
weekends were spent together in the Bahamas, Florida Keys or hunting in the
mountains of the Midwest. Their passion for the outdoors rendered Shawn and his
father inseparable.
Shawn’s first job in the marine industry was at a dealership in Central Florida. This
is where Shawn learned from the best and found a passion in maritime mechanics.
Shawn decided to formally obtain a degree in maritime mechanics, and he attended
several schools where he obtained a vast amount of knowledge working with and
around various engines.
Today, Shawn holds several certifications and qualifications in Yamaha, Mercury, BRP,
Johnsons and Evinrude engines and is well-rounded in maritime engineering as a
whole. This knowledge transformed into a lifelong career that has spanned the last
25 years.
Before joining the ranks of the Denison Yacht Sales, Shawn owned and operated
a very successful outboard repair business, where he developed a true passion for
consulting with clients. His broad mechanical marine exposure helped Shawn create
a reputation as being the go-to expert for people along the way and helping them
achieve satisfaction.
Shawn helps his clients determine the best overall vessel to satisfy their needs. Above
all, Shawn believes in doing business with honesty and integrity and knows what he is
talking about down to the smallest nut and bolt.
