BEVERLY BATEMAN (Cont.) INTERVIEW MFRW: BB: MFRW: BB: MFRW: BB: 5 Tell us about the scariest thing that ever happened to you. I was held up at gunpoint in New Orleans, just off Bourbon Street. MFRW: How many books have you written, how many have been published? I‟ve written ten books. Nine have been published. The ninth will be released in October. BB: If I were a first-time reader of your books, which one would you recommend I start with and why? I‟d suggest Hunted if you like contemporary roman- tic suspense westerns. It‟s the first book in my Hawkins ranch series, takes place in Victoria, BC and Duster. Montana and I love the scene where the hero kidnaps the heroine. MFRW: BB: What book for you has been the easiest to write? The hardest? The most fun? The easiest was Missing. The hard- est is my latest, The Fourth Victim, book one in my new series The Foundation, and the most fun was Death Awaits about a dog walker with funky characters. What is the hardest part of writing/the easiest for you? The hardest part is developing my characters, so my readers will either love them or hate them. The easi- est part is plotting. Ideas usually come easy.
