Second Form Integration Day Dusi Canoe Marathon 2016
The annual ‘Borver Week’ for new Second Form boys ends on the first
Friday of the term, with a special assembly at which the Second Formers
are elevated from lowly ‘borver’ status (definition: ‘low class fellow’) to
‘normal College boy’. The house leaders issued the various Second Formers
with their ties which they proudly donned for the first time at this assembly. As is tradition, many of our boarders went down in the early hours of the
morning to the start of the Dusi Canoe Marathon to provide support to the
participants at the Ernie Pearce Weir. It was a cold and wet start for many,
but this didn’t put a damper on their spirits.
Dusi Clean-Up
As a part of environmental awareness development and community service,
a clean-up of the Dusi River and banks near to the school was organised.
Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is very exciting as the boys receive roses from various admirers from other schools.
The air is filled with a sense of expectation and trepidation.
