College Actors ’ Workshop and Performing Arts Competition

The College actors thrived in the setting of the Performing Arts competition this year , winning the overall best performance . The captain of the College Actors ’ Workshop ( CAW ), S Nyker , was as were his two brothers before him , instrumental in the success of the evening . He recruited all the acts and talent , arranged the programme of events and organised the judges and the venue . The evening was a complete success , with a wonderful turn out . It is such a treat to watch these young performers growing in confidence as they discover their potential . The actors ’ workshop has and will continue to be a means for the boys to express themselves . It is an opportunity for them to experience live performance , try their hand at writing for the stage , or even stand-up comedy . The workshop encourages the boy who may not have made it into the big school production , or has not been fortunate enough to take Dramatic Art as a subject . It is a humble sized group of boys , as it always has been , but it will continue to be an outlet , a catharsis , a journey of self-discovery . It is a home for the outcast and icon alike . It is a safe space for exploration and experimentation , and even healing and renewal . Most of all , it is fun and boys need to have fun .
