U16E
The U16E season was a tough one. The first game of the season was away
to Grey College where the boys put in a stellar effort but fatigue kicked
in and costly errors in the ‘golden zone’ eventually lost us the game. The
team gelled over the next few games, winning back-to-back games against
Pretoria Boys’ High and Michaelhouse, thus proving that they were a force
to be reckoned with. The next few games proved to be challenging, with a
mixed bag of results. Our team was very much injury stricken, but all the
boys that were called up from lower teams stepped up to the task.
Our season would not have been successful had it not been for the
commitment and determination shown by the boys from the dawn of the
season. The charismatic leadership shown by A Zondi was a pivotal factor,
contributing to the overall success of the team and creating an amazing
team culture. With a win ratio of 71%, it is safe to say that we had an
excellent season.
There is much potential in this age group and it will be developed at open
group level in the coming years. I wish the boys well in their life endeavours
and the best of luck in Open rugby next year.

U16F
The U16F team had a wonderful season. The boys played hard and worked
hard to be promoted to higher teams and although not many fixtures could
be arranged, they played five games, of which they won three and lost two.
