Randall Stickrod was a magazine publisher, media executive and technologist who published many articles on a broad range of subjects including business, technology, nature and travel. Sadly, he passed away shortly after giving permission to print this tribute to his mother.

Noah Griffin

Noah Griffin is a former weekly syndicated columnist for the San Francisco Examiner and a winner of the prestigious Eugene Block Award for excellence in journalism. He has been published in the Boston Globe and San Francisco Magazine. He currently writes a monthly column for the Marin IJ and is the Founder of The Cole Porter Society.

Ed Schwartz

Ed Schwartz began his career in wine promotion at New York’s “21” Club. As his interests in wine grew, he moved West to be closer to the grapes. Ed has written more than 500 published articles on wine, food and travel. Mostly recently, Ed was the wine editor for The Nob Hill Gazette.

Louise Rafkin

San Francisco Bay Area writer, Louise Rafkin publishes in The New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. She has graciously given permission to reprint the article she wrote for her column, “On The Couch,” in 2008 on Meredith and Noah Griffin.

John Briscoe

John Briscoe has published several books on history, law, and of poetry. His poetry and legal, literary and historical essays have been widely published in literary and scholarly journals.

Katharine Browning
