including Salvator Mundi and Lady with
an Ermine by Leonardo, Young Woman
with a Unicorn by Raphael or Boy Bit-
ten by a Lizard by Caravaggio, among
others. Each and every campaign pho-
tograph becomes a unique creation
where classical elements of the original
works co-exist with contemporary ele-
ments. This is a space where nothing is
what it seems at first glance.

with the presentation
of new images for its global
brand campaign, #BeAnartist
Series 3, to celebrate the launch
of its new SS 2018 collection.
The independent eyewear brand once
again reinterprets classic styles, giving
them a new lease of life in a new space,
a new time and, especially, a new color.
Once again, Etnia Barcelona takes its
inspiration from classic art and reinter-
prets it from its own point of view with
the help of rule-breaking photographer
Biel Capllonch: images that emulate
full-scale paintings, such as Liberty
Leading the People by Delacroix or The
Triumph of Bacchus by Velázquez, and
others that reinvent portrait paintings
For this season, Etnia Barcelona is
introducing new styles for its Vintage
and Originals eyewear collections, with
a total of 37 new designs: 32 optical
models and five sunglass styles. Styles
that have natural acetate frames with
rounded profiles and new color and
texture arrangements. The metallic
styles have geometric and hexagonal
profiles that are light and slightly an-
gled, clearly influenced by the 1970s.
When it comes to
color, the brand ex-
tends the “reART-
ing” concept, which
reflects the current
trend of reinterpret-
ing art history to in-
spire and create new
collections. The ex-
clusive acetates at Etnia Barcelona are
small pictorial works of art that com-
bine checkered patterns with cheerful,
pointillist colors, POP colors and solid
shades. A tribute to the paintings and
artists that inspire us.
For the sunglasses collection, this sea-
son Etnia Barcelona introduces the
concept of a micro pair of glasses with
warm-colored lenses that are either
soft tinted or midnight lenses. Mineral
lenses in pink, blue and orangish for
metal frames that have been reduced in
size with an anatomical bridge without
nose pads. Styles with a very trendy
retro-futuristic flair.
Creative liberty and challenging tra-
ditional artistic conventions. Because
each eyewear product manifests an
attitude and a different way of view-
ing and understanding the world. Be-
cause vision is personal, unique and
non-transferable. Because the gaze
has to be Anartist.
