In partnership with Kansas Beef Council and John Sachse, K-State Research and Extension in Rawlins County hosted an Advanced Beef Cattle Care & Health Training Certification program. Dan Thomson, DVM, Jones Professor of Production Medicine was the speaker
who covered advanced beef quality
assurance training for cow-calf,
feedyard and stocker, stockmanship
principles, low-stress cattle-handling
techniques improving facilities for
beef cattle and how vaccines and
antibiotics work. The program was
enjoyed by many Rawlins County
residents.
Rawlins County Extension hosted a barn quilt workshop that was a hit for the full class of residents that participated! Look at the creations!
