Andrew Men s Fundraiser Golf Tournament:
Our Andrew Men s Fundraising evening was held over the Heritage day long
weekend and kicked off with two awesome evening whisky tas ngs at the
Mthunzi Hotel & Conference that were hosted by the whisky connoisseur
Tommy Larkan.
Our 2017 AMF Golf Tournament that was held at Port Shepstone Country Club
th
on Sunday the 24 of September 2017 was a roaring success.
Arranging the event at the end of September when our annual rainy season
starts was a huge gamble that fortunately paid off this me. My sincerest
thanks to Jesse Verster and his team that held off on their spring treatment
un l a er this event, to ensure great playing condi ons on the day.
A field of 107 players teed off in cloudy weather condi ons and the course
played superbly. The playing condi ons and alliance format suited most and
some great scores were recorded by the local folks.
Well done to the team of Raj, Ramesh, Hiraman Lakraj and Bobby Naidoo that
scooped up the honors with an awesome score of 96 points.
Thanks to Bevis Fairbrother, our very efficient fines master for his humorous
fines session and many thanks to Ryan Ringo for auc oning off a whole lamb
and a few other awesome prizes.
My sincerest thanks to all our sponsors that contributed so enthusias cally to
make this event such a great success (Glenbrynth Scotch Whisky, SAB, Sco in
Insurance, East Coast Breweries, Rawson Proper es, Niccil Plumbing, Mtunzi
Hotel & Conference, Halfway Ford, Rock Candy, Hibiscus Coast Insurance, Glen
Smit Proper es, Out of Wood Interiors, P&G Construc on & Mnandi Meats).
The NSRI, (one of the two beneficiaries of this year's AMF fund raising) also
a ended the event. Well done on their awesome display and thanks for also
sponsoring lots of lovely prizes.
Our aim is that the proceeds of this year's fundraising will contribute to the
crea on of improved facili es at the NSRI and Alexander Home for the aged.
