Winter fishing is as good as it gets, unless it is rough offshore. The fish do not cooperate on rough days. OFFHSHORE DON’T: is underestimate how bad the weather can get during the winter. This time year everything revolves around the weather. Don't leave home with out it:  Heavy enough clothes to endure fishing offshore during this time of the year. A good pair of waterproof slickers and waterproof boots make all the difference in the world during February & March. An assortment of tackle is going to be a must as well. Be prepared to try several different diving plugs and an assortment of colors. Pink usually works the best so don’t leave the dock without it. leave on the DOCK: Anything to do with live bait. Castnets and Sabiki rods won’t get you much during the winter months. Live bait is hard to come by so don’t bother. find bluewater, RIGHT?!?!: Fishing Blue-Water is NOT everything. As a matter of fact it is harder to catch Tuna and Wahoo in cobalt blue water during the winter months.. On our best days the water is usually emerald green to clean green. If the water is too clear the fish get finicky. Indeelconditions: Calm seas and before a full moon is the best time to fish offshore.
