times the company, which still
today remains a family run concern, has grown to operate from 4
sites in the once thriving industrial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds.
Evolving from humble sheet metal workers to
precision fabrication and machining engineers the
business has tackled many challenges throughout
the years, none more critical than the recent relocation of its head office and machining facility.
It is not by coincidence that A.Taylor & Son
decided to relocate and put down its roots in
the historical home of engineering - Hunslet.
Since beginning work for the Oil and Gas
industry in the 1970’s the company has experienced steady growth and continues to
move forward with a willingness to meet the
needs of a very demanding client base, a key

factor to its success.
Such a breadth of knowledge cannot be
underestimated and it is the main reason
A.Taylor can count some of the world’s leading
equipment suppliers as core customers.
For over 150 years ‘Taylormade’ products have been supplied to almost every
industry in the world and continue to
ensure A.Taylor remain at the forefront of
modern day engineering.
The company’s key fabrication facility
is still based at Weaver Street, a 30,000ft2
site with 6 modern bays served by a variety of cranes with a maximum single lift of
50 tonnes. With the recent opening of an
equally impressive machine shop of similar
capacity the lean towards medium to
heavy engineering sets A.Taylor & Son
aside from many other fabricators in the
