SUPERCAR
BLOODHOUND SSC is a jet and rocket
powered car designed to go at 1,000 mph
and produce more than 135,000 horsepower more than 6 times the power of all the Formula 1 cars
on a starting grid put together

Previously, it was believed that to go
at supersonic speeds the car had be a
great, hulking machine just to contain the sheer size of the engine
required to propel it forth.
Fortunately, this proved to be a misconception, as highlighted by the Bloodhound
Project. Led by Richard Noble OBE, the
Bloodhound Project was established in 2007.
It is the culmination of leading technology
from Nammo, Rolls- Royce, Jaguar and Castrol
