Wheat & Grain
Ritzville
Senate Minority Leader Mark Schoesler, R-Ritzville, hopped onto the bus
for a tour of several businesses that provide crucial support to wheat and
grain farmers: CF Industries and the Ritzville Warehouse Company. The
bus stopped for lunch at the Washington Wheat Foundation building in
beautiful downtown Ritzville.
Bear the guard dog greeted the bus at CF Industries
(below), which stores ammonia. Farmers from as
far away as Oregon and Idaho are customers. CF
Industries has a remarkable safety record: more than
12,000 days without a lost-time accident.
