3.1.13 Spy

Spy

In “spy” mode the program uses a red arrow to display what it is planning to do on its
next move.

This feature helps beginners and intermediate players avoid dropping pieces or getting
thrashed quickly. It is highly recommended as a training tool. Games played in spy
mode tend to achieve a higher level of play.
The Spy uses coloured arrows to show the threats in the current board position. In
contrast to the function „Show Threat“ this function also displays what will happen in
the following move.
This function is not only useful for beginners, because it helps avoid elementary
tactical errors. Games played with the spy function active are of a much better
quality. This function has been improved and now the Spy only shows strong
unmistakable threats.
Note: If simple combinations are possible these are shown by a blue arrow on the
chess board.
