MISD DECA Students Qualify for Internationals After State Wins N ine Ben Barber Career and Technology Academy students competed at the state Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) competition and earned the opportunity to advance to the international level. DECA is an organization with the goal of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the world. The high school division includes 200,000 members in 3,500 schools. The DECA team had a great performance at the state competition in San Antonio. Congratulations to the DECA students and their advisors for outstanding performances at the state DECA competition. The international competition takes place April 23-26 in Nashville, Tennessee.
