Two MISD Campuses Recognized as Title I Best Practice Schools
A
lice Ponder Elementary and Tarver-Rendon Elementary have been
recognized as Title I Best Practice Schools.
The Best Practice Schools award is part of the Title I Capacity Building
Initiative, a statewide project of Education Service Center Region 10
that is funded by a grant from the Texas Education Agency.
Schools earning this award are Title I schools, meaning the campus has
a student population of at least 40 percent low income, and are selected
for their best practices based on the Critical Success Factors that
measure improvement in a variety of categories.
Ponder Elementary has also been selected to be featured in the
statewide videos to highlight some of its best practices. These videos
will be featured on the Capacity Building Initiative section of the ESC
Region 10 website.
