The beauty of the mysterious medieval fantasy, Venice-like city of Venexia belies the danger that lurks around every corner. Headquartered in the Slaughtered Lamb Inn, Lirynn Kenin, leader of the Momento Mori, a group of downtrodden humans called the Paesani, meets clandestinely with her loyal followers. They hang on her every word as she directs the planning and strategizing of tactics to keep the Paesani alive while under siege of the ruling class of vampires.
