What is Fetish Couture? Is it just grabbing a whip, some knee-high boots and a leather bodice with dark makeup? Fetish is so much more than just the initial view people have around the world. If slapping a whip in your hand, dressing in a “Lady Gaga” style and wearing over-the-knee boots is considered fetish fashion then it is clear that certain people do not understand the Fetish Couture style. Most people confuse the terms bondage or BDSM Fashion with Fetish Couture as being a part of the BDSM community. We could say that BDSM and fetish are not necessarily associated together all the time. On one hand, a fetish is any object, activity or other to which one is excessively or irrationally devoted, something that makes our engines work, so to speak. Whereas BDSM represents a compilation of practices and expressions, both erotic and non-erotic, involving restraint, sensory stimulation, role-playing, and a variety of interpersonal dynamics; in other words a combination of fetishes.
