As a result of this tiny invasion, in April 2007 Zayn Till and his partner Wynx Whhiplash opened Raglan Shire. “We created the first tiny themed sims over six years ago; The Raglan Shire Archipelago. At this point we have grown tremendously and have seven sims dedicated to community activity that includes: art, music and games as well as our own school, Raglan U, which teaches tinies and friends useful skills. Our founding mission and overall goal is to encourage interaction and collaboration in a friendly environment. We have lots of public land with lots of areas for exploration, as well as, residential areas. We even have tiny themed shopping areas as well as our own tiny community sandbox called the SILICA CUBICLE,” Till tells MANIERA. When asked how Till created this wonderful world of tinies and petites he modestly says, “Raglan Shire was the first of its kind in SL and thanks to a large group of people who work very hard to make it a dynamic vibrant place both in Second Life and InWorlds™ this concept has spawned a real life re-imagining for a new animated television show that we will be pitching to networks and production houses this fall. This will be a dream come true to get this show produced.” The production company, Jazzpaws, plans to bring Raglan Shire to life using 3D animation and art. “The concept is to tell compelling stories of the tiny animals and other fanciful creatures that inhabit Ragan Shire in various animated media forms to entertain people. We also want to offer people an opportunity for creative collaboration that will, at the end of the day, benefit art, music and different foundations that help with various illnesses.” Till offered MANIERA an exclusive link to the first proof of this concept called Wootberry Joos that can be viewed by clicking below. When asked what Till does as a tiny, he laughs and simply says, “A lot – the Raglan Shire is a hive of activity!” A visit to the shire is mind boggling with activities and opportunities at every turn. In the past, the Raglan Shire has hosted countless events such as medieval fests, pirate months, fashion shows, talent contests, Wootmas and Winterfests. “A favorite among residents is our infamous Mardi Gras Fest replete with an amazing yearly assortment of floats that participate Watch an exclusive link of the concept called Wooberry Joos 24 | MANIERA | mymaniera.com JULY/AUGUST 2013
