What new technology has 'Alexa' built in?

Amazon Basics Microwave $59.99

In September 2018, Amazon announced a new basic microwave which could be paired up with the Echo. Amazon’s idea behind this was that most people do not use all settings on a microwave due to confusion, so they are making it simpler to all by allowing you to control the microwave using a digital assistant.

Amazon Echo Wall Clock

Amazon released a new Echo controlled wall clock. The clock is sold at a $30 price tag. The clock automatically sets the time for you, lights up when you receive notifications and can set timers or alarms. However, if you are planning to get an Echo Wall Clock make sure you have an Amazon Echo as they have to be paired at all times to work.

Amazon Echo’s dominance in the smart-speaker market is a lesson on the virtue of being the first. Just over three years on from when Amazon first launched Alexa, the digital assistant is now a familiar voice across millions of houses around the world. With companies like Google introducing the “Google Assistant” and “Google Home” over a year after Amazon, it has proven that Amazon has controlled the digital assistant market over the last few years and is continuing to do so.
