7 YEAR DISPUTE ENDS BETWEEN GAZPROM AND THE EU

Russian state-controlled energy giants Gazprom have settled their long-running dispute with the EU over their treatment of customer in Central and Eastern Europe. It had placed bans and restrictions initially on how customers in certain countries could use gas, with some countries exporting gas to others.

SHELL'S MOTIVES QUESTIONED

BREEZING PAST NUCLEAR

Anglo-Dutch oil company Shell are having an internal rebellion with several in the company questioning senior levels over a few issues. These have included their efforts towards reducing carbon emissions, shareholder payouts and the company's efforts towards sustainable development amongst other issues.

For the first time in the UK, British wind farms during the first 3 months of 2018 managed to produce more energy than the 8 nuclear stations here. In the first quarter, researchers from Imperial College London noted that wind power managed to produce 18.8% of electricity, second only to gas energy.
