Spartans grapplers that helped raise the national meet
success banners in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena, Chavez,
starring at 134 pounds, registered 110 wins, good for
number nine on the program’s all-time list. He made
himself a known commodity on the conference and
national levels, too, winning two league titles and
qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships
three times with one All-American honor included as he
placed second in 1995.

inductee Missy King ’06 Jensen to form a formidable

points over her career, Kay, the program’s all-time assists
leader, helped engineer three straight league runner-up
finishes, three successive double-digit win totals and
back-to-back NCAA Division III national tournament
appearances.
