MU | A r c h i v e s Timeline celebrates Manchester vision F rom Manchester’s earliest days when our first president taught by the light of coal oil lamps and felled trees for firewood, we had a vision. That vision sustained us through lean times, emboldened our passion for peace and social justice, and inspired us to improve the human condition. Now, 125 years and more than 19,000 graduates later, the vision still guides us. We invite you to read some of Manchester’s stories on our special anniversary timeline at www.manchester.edu. You’ll learn more about our rich history, graduates of ability and conviction, and people whose grit and sacrifice helped Manchester rise from a grove of o ak trees to a University that changes the world. We’ll add stories to this special website as we travel through our 125th year. We hope you return. Archives 46 |
