According to an interview with Melissa, she’s been singing for approximately two decades and since has developed her musicianship further by mastering several instruments including the guitar and the piano. Melissa even writes and performs her own original songs, which is extremely notable for everything else she has going on. Melissa is so multi-faceted that she cannot be classified by one individual genre however her music is extremely soulful. It’s not uncommon to get goosebumps while watching her perform. A native Northwestern Flordian, Melissa attended high school in Tampa, FL and received her degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Since her journey as a professional musician began, she has performed on the same stage as John Legend and John Rich everywhere including Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Las Vegas.
