THE BEST HAS JUST GOTTEN BETTER!

Cedar Point Unleashes New Coaster, Gatekeeper, After Months of Construction.

Close your eyes. Hear the clicking of the car on the tracks as you approach the peak of the climb. Your heart is pounding as you anticipate what’s coming next, and it’s so loud that you can hear it. You fight to not to look down but against your better judgment, you can’t resist the urge to and when you do, it seems as though the entire world is beneath you. Your less-courageous associates are crowded together watching from down below, pointing up in admiration because you’re one bold dare-devil to ride this ride. You’re 170 feet in the air supported by nothing but a seat and a chest harness made of pure steel and painted fiberglass. Your legs dangle from the seat and your hair flies freely as you plummet 164 feet at 67 miles per hour. Screams surround you and your heart drops into your stomach as you experience the complete loss of control. It’s addictive. For the next two minutes or so, you are taken up, around and upside down, over, under and through and then finally, you’re pulling back into the dock. You step off the ride with a virtual badge of honor and a newly gained respect amongst your peers. You loved every minute of it and can’t wait to do it again. This is the experience that awaits you when you step onto the new attraction, Gatekeeper, at Cedar Point.

If you’ve never had the privilege to visit Cedar Point, you’re truly missing out on a one of a kind experience. Sure, there are other thrill parks but they are nothing like this one. Cedar Point is known as Sandusky Ohio’s premier attraction and is a huge deal for the Midwest in general. The park offers a truly unique experience to both first-timers and regular-goers because there’s always something new to see. This year, the new debut is the record-breaking coaster, Gatekeeper. Being highlighted for its complexity and named “longest drop” of its kind, the Gatekeeper is a must-see attraction. Trust us, it’s safe. They’ve been test-driving The Gatekeeper for months before its premier.

This amusement park certainly lives up to its name. From Elephant Ears and Cotton Candy to Soak City and over 70 rides including Gatekeeper, Cedar Point definitely has something for everyone. There are rides for children but the adults are the ones who sit up at night, counting down the days until opening day. Well, great news coaster-lovers! The park opens May 11th this year and tickets are available now www.cedarpoint.com. We’ll see you on Gatekeeper!
