the knowledge gap that few product origin studies had been conducted in the African region and other developing countries . They motivated me to try and fill this information void by undertaking a pioneering COO study in Kenya .
What convinced you that Lambert Academic Publishing would be the right publisher for you ?
Lambert Academic Publishing enjoys good reputation internationally in supporting publishing of scholarly work thereby helping to disseminate widely knowledge that would otherwise remain in university libraries . In particular my Supervisor Professor Francis Kibera highly recommended Lambert Academic Publishing to me and he is quite happy with the quality of the book including the cover design and contents therein .
What are you working on currently ? And if you decide to publish a new book , would you consider cooperating with Lambert again ?
I am currently extracting papers for academic forums and journals based on the PhD study that Lambert Academic Publishing has just published . I am also considering publishing another book with Lambert Academic Publishing based on my MBA dissertation which was also a pioneering study focusing on ‘ Attitudes towards energy conservation in Kenya .’
What advice would you give to young academics ?
Young academicians should strive to excel in whatever field they are in . They should also read widely to enhance their knowledge and help them undertake relevant and pioneering research in their area of study . Discipline and honesty in what they do are key factors to success .

Dr . James Ngugi Njuguna has PhD - Business Administration ( Marketing ), Postgraduate Diploma ( Mass Communication ) and a BA Hons . ( Governement ) all from the University of Nairobi . He holds a Diploma in Marketing from the University of London and is a Harvard Business School , Alumni . He retired recently from the Kenya Power &
Lighting Company where he had worked as a Senior Manager for 26 years .
He now lectures and does consultancy at Strathmore University Business School in Corporate Strategy , Strategic Management , Global Marketing , Entrepreneurial Marketing , Consumer Behaviour , Marketing Strategy & Planning , Services Marketing , Global Competitive Strategy , Strategic Marketing Management and Strategic Leadership , among other disciplines .
