Monty Dhariwal, co-ordinator of APA
and MD at Express DDB in Nairobi
comments that because there is no
technical institution which can foster the
development of skills in graphics or design
for advertising in Kenya, it is a significant
accomplishment that non-traditional
media won awards.
Jury President, Xolisa Dyeshana, Chief
Creative Officer at Joe Public in South
Africa, applauded the overall quality
of the work, especially in the Print and
Digital categories. “It’s always inspiring
for me to see outstanding work from peers
across Africa. The winning work at APA
will hold its own against the best globally.”
The awards were judged by 10 local and
regional experts in their fields.
