FIRST WORD ON ELECTING A THIEF
Kenya is again on that tipping time that happens every five years when Kenyans above the age of eighteen are expected to exercise their democratic right to elect a new set of thieves to the many areas that the new constitution has created .
This is the time we as Kenyans collectively agree to put our common sense on pause and vigorously search for the people who get the right to rip you off for the next five years . This collective act of stupidity is called exercising your democratic rights .
If we were to rewrite a particular children story book that we are familiar with we would not be able to call it ‘ Uhuru and the Forty Seven thieves ’ because there are so many thieves in so many levels of government that the number becomes irrelevant .
On eighth August Kenyans will have the privilege to elect a thief at the executive level , a thief at the county level , a thief at the senate , a thief in parliament and many petty thieves in the sprawling mess that we now call the devolved government .
As soon as they are sworn into office , all the levels of government will with one accord begin the pillage of the Kenyan coffers with total dedication in preparation for the next cycle of re-alignment in 2022 where we shall again entertain them as usual .
The robber barons have become so emboldened that currently they are not even so concerned about the 2017 elections ; they are discussing and getting stressed on who will be the presidential candidate in 2022 as if the 2017 elections is a done deal .
Amazingly the same thieves are perplexed about the voter apathy and are puzzled as to why people are not trooping in droves to register . They have forgotten that they have been pre-occupied with choosing their party vehicle to power and forgot to tell us where they want to take us .
TNA and several other parties have morphed into Jubilee for no apparent reason that is discernible to the public . Not to be outdone CORD is flirting with NASA as it crumbles internally and the public is in the dark as to what is happening .
