FAMILY & COMMUNITY HEALTH
The quality of care that children receive does matter! Children who receive high quality care develop better language, math, and social skills, exhibit fewer behavior problems, and tend to be better prepared for entrance into school. The goal of this child care conference was to provide Harris County care givers with the knowledge and skills needed to provide a nurturing and healthy environment for children.
The Circle of Learning Child Care Provider's Conference was held at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center. The event’s focus was taking care of the caregiver. The 63 participants were encouraged to take care of themselves so that they could take care of others.
