Development (CED) Agent,
Nate Peterson and CED Student Intern, Na’shon Edwards were invited to speak at the 2018 Houston Urban Food Production Conference during the Business Start-up session. The breakout session focused on “Developing a Business Plan.” The presentation was introduced to 33 adults and urban farmers interested in developing a business plan.
Participants were provided with information and resources about starting an urban farm business and the various components on how to develop a business plan including:

Post evaluations indicated that 90% of the participants were highly satisfied with the quality of the presentation. Participants were also given a business plan template to use as a guide to writing their business plans. Overall, it was an excellent group of urban farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs who are now ready to change the world one business plan at a time.
