As a Community Archery Training Specialist for Texas Parks & Wildlife (TPWD), Kendrick is responsible for leading the Community Archery Initiative and supporting the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) in the Greater Houston Area. He commits a great deal of time to establish partnerships with parks and recreation departments, civic groups, hunting and sportsmen clubs and other groups in the Houston Metro region who may be interested in developing their own archery program.

Kendrick has been with TPWD for only 7 months; prior to this, he worked for the City of Pearland Parks & Recreation Department for 7 years where he helped to establish an extremely successful outdoor recreation program. He’s community oriented and passionate about basketball. Therefore, in his spare time he volunteers as Head Coach and Mentor for the Shadow Creek Shooting Stars 8th grade AAU Basketball team in Pearland.

Nate Peterson is the new Extension Agent in Harris County, specializing in Community Economic Development for Cooperative Extension Program at Prairie View A&M University. He is responsible for implementing and evaluating programs that focus on small business development, HUB certification, entrepreneurship, home ownership and community/economic development. Nate also provides general assistance to entrepreneurs, small business owners, agribusinesses and land owners on topics including: financial resources, business planning, marketing, e-commerce, budgeting, efficient agribusiness practices and business development issues to help them succeed.

Nate Peterson is a native of Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's Degree in Public Policy & Administration from Mississippi State University.
