After the session was presented, Ms. Trejo had an activity for the children, where they took a piggy bank (provided by Houston Money Week), and decorated it with stickers. This encourages preschoolers to keep track of their money and having a special money holder helps them children get used to putting money in one place. The library staff also gathered children’s books with financial literacy themes to encourage the families to read about the subject.
