The goal of this program is to improve the working knowledge of pesticide use and safety for individuals who apply pesticides, so city and county residents along with area natural resources are not adversely affected by improper practices. Managers, technicians and field employees need to stay up to date on the latest information, practices and regulations. The program provided five hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU) to certified private, non-commercial, and commercial TDA license holders. This program focused on trainings and strategies to aid in pest management.

The workshop included the following topics.

• Pesticide Laws & Regulations Update

• Nuisance Animal Management

• Integrated Pest Management and Beneficial

Insects

• Life of the Pest Ant and How to End It

• Pesticide Safety

141 people attended the conference at the Weekley Center. 146 people attended the conference at the Baytown Community Center.
