My rubric is the checklist and the students are assessed through observation. I simply indicate on my roster the areas that are not met for only those students. For example, Susie Q does not have her music for rehearsal, so I mark NM on the roster. If there are no marks, the student is meeting the standards. All rehearsal specific standards would be connected to the developed curriculum in each school. I am happy to say that I am very comfortable and confident with this rehearsal rubric. I find that the students respond positively and are clear on the expectations during rehearsals. The greatest benefit is that we are working together in a positive learning environment to create beautiful music. What could be better?
