Speaker Politics

In recent years it has become increasingly difficult to stay away from one ever dominant topic - Politics. Whether at home, in the workplace or in the media, there is rarely a day that goes by without mention of Politics. From Brexit and immigration, to changes to public services and taxation, there is no denying that Politics plays a large part in shaping our everyday lives. Therefore, a group of my classmates and I have planned and recently launched a brand new website, to share our passion for such an important subject. We want to make Politics more inclusive and accessible as we feel that there is little out there that makes politics easily accessible, inclusive and simple for everyone to understand.

We particularly want to focus on capturing teenagers interest, as we believe not enough are informed about current debates and issues, although they affect our everyday lives. Who knows, maybe in the future some of us will be making those life-changing decisions.

Through our website, we are aiming to provide unbiased analysis articles, the latest headlines, and a range of opinion articles. We have also set up Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts @speakerpolitics, to provide snippets of our latest articles.

Although it has been hard work, we’ve had a lot of fun creating the website and we are excited about what the future holds. We hope others will make use of our website; keeping up to date on the latest news by reading our articles, browsing our website at speakerpolitics.co.uk and by connecting with us on social media.

(We are also always on the lookout for more writers, and different viewpoints, so if you’re interested in writing a piece for The Speaker, be it opinion or analysis, feel free to contact me at
